Using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop I created a magazine cover titled Only in SOMO. This image based design uses a scenic landscape photo to highlight the beauty of Southwest Missouri. I paired bold typography and photography to create hierarchy and balance within the design. The earthy tones pulled from the photo keep the overall look cohesive and natural. The clean layout was designed to feel inviting while still eye-catching. I have included an illustrated concept as well to show two different visions for the same project. This cover reflects my ability to blend strong visuals with thoughtful design choices to capture a sense of place.
